Hive Blackpool

Hive Blackpool

This town centre cafe and urban farm shop is definitely one of our favourites here at Visit Fylde Coast. Serving quality food with a great atmosphere – take a look at Hive Blackpool.

Hive Blackpool

We’ve been to Hive many times over the years – and it’s featured in more than one Friday Food Review! Inside the warm and cosy shop is a fabulous variety of food and drinks. From hot meals and snacks to cake and coffee. Enjoy breakfasts and brunch, lunch and afternoon snacks. Plus a wide range of farm-shop produce to take away and cook at home.

  • Find it at – 80-82 Church Street, Blackpool FY1 1HP
  • Telephone  01253 296686 – please mention you saw it on Visit Fylde Coast!
  • Opening hours are seven days a week, mostly 9am to 4pm
  • Please check before travelling

Find it at Church Street at the heart of Blackpool town centre. It’s mid-way between the front doors of Marks and Spencer and the Winter Gardens, on the sunny side of the street. This means the outdoor tables and chairs are in a great spot to soak up the sunshine on warm days.

Indoors or Outdoors

Hive just has one main door to the store. You can enjoy dine-in, outdoor seating and in store pick-up. There’s level access too which means anyone with accessibility requirements can easily get into the store. Customer toilets are also provided at the rear of the store.

More than just a Cafe

We’ve already mentioned the fresh produce. Hive stocks and wide range of fruit, vegetables and cooking ingredients for you to prepare at home. Check out the fridges and fresh vegetables when you’re in store.

At Christmas the store becomes amazing with a much wider range of produce, seasonal food and gifts. Outside there’s the festive chalet stalls and inside often a craft fair and market. Hive’s philosophy is to stock ethically made goods and there’s a range of local producers to choose from.

And that’s not all. Next time you’re in take a look at the long wall above the seating area. There’s usually a changing exhibition of local art hung there. It’s an eclectic gallery space, full of pictures of all kinds of subjects created in all kinds of ways.

Just to the right of the main cafe entrance you’ll find HiveArts. Climb the stairs to enter an amazing community gallery. The urban, industrial style and big windows perfectly suit the space. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for details of who is exhibiting what and when.

Overall

Hive Blackpool is more than just a cafe. They server great food and coffee in a warm and friendly space that welcomes you in. Whether you’re hungry and eating a meal or meeting friends for coffee you’ll find a space for you.

It’s also a hub for the independent creative community and an important part of the town centre. Hive Blackpool certainly deserves a place at the top of the Visit Fylde Coast list of go-to places to eat in Blackpool.
