Indoors or Takeaway

There’s plenty of seating inside the diner, some arranged in booths and others in tables and chairs. It’s a surprisingly large space, accessed from Bank Hey Street. In warm weather the bi-fold doors that make up the shop front are thrown open, bringing the outside in. Takeaway is also available – and from online delivery companies such as Just Eat.

Creams Gelato in Blackpool

Creams was founded in London in 2008, with a mouth-watering selection of freshly made desserts. Today there are more than 100 of the franchise stores around the UK. The menu includes waffles, crêpes and sundaes, to cakes, sorbets, gelatos and vegan desserts.

Their signature Creams gelato is made by them with ingredients sourced straight from Italy. Hand-crafted and made in England at their own factory, to bring the finest quality ice cream to the desserts.

Overall

If you’re of a certain age you might remember the Tennessee Pancake House – on the corner of the Tower building opposite Boots. Creams is like a modern version of that oh-so-popular Blackpool classic, with a similar range of decadent treats!

Their range includes sundaes, waffles, crepes, hot puddings. Bubble tea, milkshakes and hot drinks. Doughnuts, cakes, pastries and vegan. Savouries are somewhat limited in range – it’s mostly a dessert cafe.

I succumbed and ordered a Black Forest Hot Pocket – a crepe parcel filled with black cherries, marshmallows and Oreo cookies. Topped with milk chocolate sauce and shavings. For a start mine looked exactly like the one on the website – so no surprises there. Taste wise, it was delightful. A wonderful, freshly made combination and absolutely delicious. I do have a sweet tooth and this is probably my favourite food review so far!

Also, the place is spotless and well run. Staff are constantly clearing away and tidying up, all the food preparation areas are immaculately clean. 10/10 for a well run ship. Definitely one to be recommended!
