A huge temple to fast-fashion, Primark Blackpool is a superstore over four floors right at the heart of the town centre, adjacent to The Blackpool Tower.

If you’ve been to Blackpool the chances are that you’ll have been in Primark. Popular with Fylde Coast residents and holiday makers alike, it’s a busy store with a great product range.

It’s also in a really handy spot too – located at Bank Hey Street opposite the back door to The Blackpool Tower. Primark Blackpool has a main entrance off Bank Hey Street. There’s another entrance from inside the Houndshill Shopping Centre. This location is close to Blackpool Transport bus and tram stops and numerous town centre car parks.

Inside Primark Blackpool

This store is arranged over four floors. Fully accessible and disabled friendly, each floor can be reached by escalator, stairs and a lift.

The rear of the ground floor is split by a short half a dozen steps staircase. A small wheelchair/pram lift is available for customers use. Should this be out of order, disabled access to the rear of the store is via the Houndshill entrance.

Changing rooms are also available on the ground floor, adjacent to the lifts.

Ground Floor

Across all of the prime retail space of the ground floor of Primark Blackpool you’ll find women’s wear. It’s an extensive range which includes wardrobe staples and current trends. There’s a wide selection of jeans and leggings, loungewear, workwear and clothes to go out in.

1st Floor

Up a level to the first floor of the store is where you’ll find Health & Beauty. On this floor is an enormous range of lingerie, along with beach wear. Plus every kind of nightwear you can imagine, including pyjamas, nighties, dressing gowns and onesies! The Primark range of make-up and toiletries is also here. Again, it’s a wide selection of every product you’ll need – and it gets excellent reviews in tests too.

2nd Floor

Menswear lives on the second floor of the shop. Again, it’s a wide range which includes clothes for all occasions. There’s plenty of leisure wear – jeans, joggers, t-shirts and hoodies. Plus holiday wear and work wear – all instances are covered! You’ll also find ladies shoes on this floor.

3rd (Top) Floor

Finally, on the top floor you’ll find children’s wear and home. The children’s wear range is amazing. Catering for all ages and all occasions and all great quality at amazing prices. The Primark Home range is the same. Changing seasonally with products to suit the time of year plus all those regular staples like towels and bedding.

The Primark Blackpool store is part of the Houndshill Shopping Centre footprint. Opened in October 2006 it feels like it’s been there forever. Previously the unit was occupied by Littlewoods, who ceased trading in March 2006. Littlewoods moved there from their previous Church Street premises in November 1995.

Before Littlewoods it was Binn’s department store. And before Binn’s it was RHO Hills.

Primark itself is an Irish multi-national fashion retailer whose head quarters is in Dublin. They operate outlets in the US and across Europe.

The household name trades in 439 locations and employs 76,000 staff! Amazingly, the chain only began in 1969, making amazing growth in just 55 years.
