The Blackpool Illuminations is a fabulous, FREE show of lights along six miles of the seafront!

Starting with Ride the Lights – the car free preview before the big Switch On night on the Friday of August Bank Holiday week. The Lights shine for weeks throughout late summer and autumn. And enjoy the World Fireworks Championships and Lightpool – the October half-term festival of light. Even better, all of these events are FREE!

The dazzling Illuminations show covers all of Blackpool’s Promenade – from the Pleasure Beach to the tableaux at Bispham. There’s modern neon tube lights, twinkling lamps, projected displays, huge installations and even illuminated trams. Each evening there’s something for everyone in the family-friendly show.

The fun doesn’t stop there because the Blackpool Illuminations also shine throughout the festive season with the spectacular Christmas by the Sea extravaganza.
